You know what doesn’t happen anymore? A date. Like an actual date. Where it’s just you and your date. You’re all probably like “What are you talking about? It’s still like that”. No, it isn’t. Nowadays, it’s you, your date, and both of your phones. Whether you’re having dinner or watching a movie together, you’re both just on your phones seeing what’s going on with the rest of the world instead of what’s happening right in front of you. You’re too busy scrolling up and down seeing what the rest of the world is doing instead of enjoying the company of the person you’re supposed to be spending time with. You’re too busy taking pictures of the food or your surroundings and posting them up to share that moment with everyone else instead of living in the moment with your day and sharing that moment with your date. A real date is you looking at your date, not looking for wifi. A real date is you wanting to make sure your date is having a good time, not you looking online to see if other people are having a better time. A real date is private and exclusive between you two, not constantly asking your date to take selfies with you so you can see how many “likes” you’ll get for your pictures.
