You know what is funny? The concept of beauty... I would argue that beauty doesnt truly exist the way we believe it does. I am obsessed with finding and showcasing it, but in reality, beauty is as subjective as art. We have been trained to see certain features as more desirable than others in a way that seems factual. For example, when someone touches the edge of a sword they might say that sword is sharp. They dont mean they feel that the sword is sharp in an emotional sense, they mean the knife is literally sharp to the touch. When someone says she is beautiful they often dont understand that the beauty they speak of is an emotional projection. Ignorance is bliss though, right? Even if you know that beauty is only an idea, why cheat yourself out of the glorious feeling of awe when you feel you are in the presence of it? Like my friend Kevin told me, everything in life is neutral. We just place emotions on top of events after each experience. Emotions give life zest, just dont get lost in the fantasy of beauty to the point where you cant tell what is factual. There is no set definition of beauty. So dont compare yourself to others that you think are more beautiful because beauty is just that- a thought. Perception. If you dont already, I challenge you to appreciate your own beauty.
