You know what sort of sucks. On Monday I was called by the supervisor of a certain education dept. and asked if I was interested in a teaching position for the upcoming school year that had become available. He had gotten word through the grapevine that I had substitute taught that class for a month or so previously, and had already checked to see if there were any complaints or anything of the sort on my record prior to calling me. He asked if I would please apply for the job so they could interview me because I sounded like a great candidate and I already had experience with the class. I apply for the position and wait to hear of when my interview would be scheduled. I have not interviewed for a job in a long time, so I was a little anxious to get in there and get at it. I even call the guy who originally called me to make sure that my application went through and left word for him to call me back. Keep in mind they found me and asked me to please interview for the position, but what is weird is I just opened my email and read a message sent to me by someone else telling me they hired someone for the position already. Why waste mine or your time and get hopes up if I never even get a chance to interview for the position that you told me I was a good candidate for? And people wander why I dont want to be a part of the real world.
