You know whats amazing? Kogod. More specifically, the *interior design* of the nearly brand-new Kogod Business School at American University. Sometimes, I just like to walk through these hallowed halls and think upon the conversations that the design geniuses behind this masterpieces must have had: Well, we want this building to be a beacon of CREATIVITY and ENTREPRENEURSHIP. A place for new ideas and budding young minds and businesses. Youre right, friend. What colors should we use? Well, RED is known to engender productivity, BLUE can be relaxing, YELLOW stimulating, and a large range of bright colors and creative design can make a simple space into a revolutionary one, producing genius and high morale, like Google, and unlike the stereotypical dead-eyed dully-colored corporate archetypes, which can be depressing and stifling. PRECISELY! Which is why, for our new building Im thinking, as our MAIN COLOR, we should, wait for it, use.......... GRAY. My god, man! THATS RIGHT. A whole new rising generation of entrepreneurs, surrounded by WHITE walls highlighted in GRAY and still darker GRAY. WHITE ceilings with MORE GRAY highlights. Well usually keep the majority of blinds closed, and the color of the blinds? GRAY! But what about furniture? Way ahead of you, old chap! ALL GRAY--BUT! With the occasional OFF-WHITE couch!!! Egads! But! And heres the best part, WE THROW IN **EVEN MORE COLOR**! No! YES! We add in liberal amounts of -- brace yourself -- BEIGE in the walls and desks, the occasional matte BLACK, and, my finest moment, SOME CARPETS AND TILES that at first seem to LOOK gray, but are IN REALITY a ***subtle share of PUKE GREEN***!!! . . . You, my friend, are a genius. I know, old chap, I know.
