You may have heard something about the petition discussed below on the Ken Lovejoy radio program earlier today (1580 AM 9:00-11:00 Monday - Thursday) SOMETHING NEW: Please click on the link below and sign the petition to fire County Administrator Ray Sandrock and Deputy Administrator Kelly Shoemaker. Reasons: They do not provide the commissioners with unbiased and full information necessary to vote intelligently on projects and spending (i.e. Spring Lake sewers), lies told by Sandrock (falsely saying FDEP is forcing Charlotte County to put in sewers) and Shoemaker (falsely telling the Sun that threatening e-mails were forwarded to the Sheriffs Office) to the public and the media, neglecting to take care of the algae problem in Sunshine Lake and Sunrise Waterway years ago when it was first brought to their attention, spending millions to improve the Parkside area of town, millions of dollars for useless sidewalks, multiple other wasteful projects, etc. ipetitions/petition/fire-charlotte-county-administrator-raymond-3 A lot of people personally like Ms. Shoemaker; however, her name is on the petition because she has gone along with business as usual with Administrator Sandrock, and if she stepped into his position, business would continue as it has and this county needs a change from the current way of doing business.
