You may have noticed my increased willingness to post on the fighting in the Middle East. This is a function of two things. 1) the increase in anti-Semitism that arises every time hostilities flare up (but Steve, its not about Jews, its about the Israeli government) and 2) the fact that staying silent is a betrayal of my moral code - there are millions of voices silenced last century, and in the centuries before, for whom those of us who *can* speak *must* speak to prevent a repeat of the horrors done to them. And if you think war is the only barbarism happening right now, consider this poster at anti-Israel protest in Sydney, Australia. One of the oldest anti-Semitic tropes in the business, found in a cosmopolitan modern city, and in the name of saving the children no less. You can expect to continue to see me posting on these things.
