You may have noticed that at least two-thirds of the painters I feature are second half of the 19th century to just before Word War 2 and that there are rarely artists from earlier periods or later abstract styles. Thats not coincidental. There are specific styles which both appeal to me and express the point of this page. And there are many others styles which do not do those things. its not a dismissal of other art forms so much as a focus on those which work for the page aesthetic.
