You see, most people believe the Hausa-Fulani group in northern Nigeria is a perfect example of thorough ethnic mixing...an initially heterogeneous people who have become homogeneous through assimilation, intermarriage etc. It may sound true but only on the surface. The Hausa-Fulani of Nigeria is another Hutu-Tutsi relationship. The Tutsi herds the cows while the Hutu cultivates the land. The Fulani herds the cow while the Hausa cultivates the land. Naturally, the cow herder is better of economically than the land tiller. So it follows that the cow herder will rule over the land tiller. The fulani assumed rulership of the Hausa through conquest. And he has helped himself ever since then. The Hausa has been subjugated. Do you dispute this? Have you ever seen an almajiri kid before? Intact the almajiris are exclusively Hausa children. This subjugation is a waiting time bomb. We not have realized this because the Hausa has not realized he is being subjected, thanks to Islam.
