You might have watched the film Satyagraha, but the real work - TopicsExpress

You might have watched the film Satyagraha, but the real work still remains to be done. Does this film remind you of anything? The revolution of August 2011 when you went to the Ramlila Maidan with your children? The whole nation had come out on the streets. You were demanding that the government should pass a strong law against corruption- the Janlokpal Bill. Two years have passed. The government has not agreed. No political party is ready for it. Because the leaders of all existing political parties have indulged in corruption themselves. Today if they passed the Janlokpal Bill, then half their leaders would go to jail. “We have to change the politics Arjun, not from outside but by joining it from inside.” It is now time to enter politics. We have to go inside and change the system ourselves. That is why we have come together to form the Aam Aadmi Party. The Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections are coming up in November. Aam Admi party is fielding candidates in all 70 assembly seats. Within 15 days of coming to power, the first thing we will do is to pass the same Janlokpal Bill that you came out on the streets for, in August 2011. All corrupt politicians will be sent to jail within 6 months. First, we will clean Delhi of corruption, and then we will free the rest of the country from corruption. To make this a reality, you need to take a pledge -- Till the Delhi Vidhan sabha elections you will prepare at least five new people everyday, who are ready to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party and press on the ‘Jhadu’ button. This fight is for all of us. I am fully confident that together we will win this battle.
