You might remember our May 28th post: Killer Films, the indie banner headed by Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, has merged with the upstart IP incubator Glass Elevator Media headed by Adrienne Becker to form Killer Content - and were in the mix: Union Editorials president/executive producer Michael Raimondi will join Killer Content’s advisory board. Union Entertainments SVP Noah Haeussner will work closely with the Killer Content team. No its time show some of the work: Vuguru and Killer Content will release the romantic drama Deep Powder across multiple on-demand sites beginning today through digital distributor FilmBuff. The feature is directed by Mo Ogrodnik (Ripe), and stars Haley Bennett (The Equalizer) and Shiloh Fernandez (White Bird In A Blizzard). The film is largely set in Ecuador, where a privileged boarding-school student and her townie partner are making a drug run for the student’s senior class. The online release is a first for Killer Content, the parent company of Killer Films. FilmBuff will make the film available across all major on-demand platforms, including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, cable companies and the online services of Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox. Vuguru develops original scripted content for TV and online releases, often creating a series of shorts for online release, then repackaging the story into a handful of longer-form episodes for international sales. The company is backed by Michael Eisner’s Tornante and Rogers Media. #DeepPowder #MoOgrodnik #Ripe #HaleyBennett #TheEqualizer #ShilohFernandez #WhiteBirdInABlizzard #KillerContent #Ecuador #Thriller
