You never know how lucky you are to have someone in your life until you learn their health or life could be in jeopardy. This past spring, my mother underwent a major surgery and has spent a great deal of time recovering from it. On October 5, I will be participating in the run for a cure in support of my mom--a breast cancer survivor.
