You never know what the day will bring. I went to pick up my car - TopicsExpress

You never know what the day will bring. I went to pick up my car after getting detailed from a local car wash here. As I often do, I was talking to the owner who Ive come to know over the years. We usually catch up on life, family etc. Young guy who God Bless him works ALL the time morning to night. Always on the go, overseeing his place of business and never too proud to get his hands dirty himself. While I was asking him about his parents I noticed he suddenly became distant and thought perhaps something needed his attention and his focus just shifted. I came to realize very quickly however that his drifting was turning into something much more serious. When his body began to seize up and his eyes started to roll back in his head I realized he was having a full on seizure. Myself and several of his workers caught him as his body began to collapse to the ground. For the next 4-5 minutes, while I was on the phone with 911, his workers and another customer tried to bring him around. It was truly one of the most horrific sights I have ever witnessed. Thankfully, he came out of it soon after the paramedics arrived and seems to be fine now. This was a young man(37)who has a history of seizures and today could have been his last. So, I guess what I took away from this was a few things. 1. When someone is in crisis, ultimately we all will do what is necessary to help. 2. Life is very short. And while I am as much of a workhorse as anyone, I know that tomorrow I may leave this earth and what will have been my last moments. 3. Pride honors nobody. So, if you need help, SWALLOW it so you can enjoy the moments to come. God Blessed you today my friend. Thank you Lord for looking out for him today and placing us all around him to let him know he is not alone.
