You never know who you’re going to influence in life. Peter’s wife received a note and a CD in the mail yesterday from Los Angeles. It was from a former student. She had cast Matt Forbes as the Cowardly Lion in a junior high production of The Wizard of Oz. In part, Matt wrote, “It’s hard to believe it has been almost 15 years since we shuffled down that “yellow brick road.” I’ve been at it ever since. It seemed only right that you should be among the first to receive a copy of this CD. Recording at Capitol Studios in Hollywood seems a world away from Bedford Junior High, but I’ve never once forgotten the person who gave me my first break and set me down this path.” The recording is a Christmas CD called The 12 Minutes of Christmas.
