You probably all have heard of the immigration issue that is currently raging in DC. I wonder if you all realize that Carrie and I are immigrants. We understand what a person has to endure to make it to citizenship and, let me assure you, it is DAUNTING! When I had questions (Im sure you realize there were a lot of questions) the INS had no email just one phone number. When I called the number I let it ring unanswered for over 2 hours. I finally gave up in frustration. I was calling during business hours and had no reason to believe there would be no one at the other end. It was never answered and I had to find my answers through a lawyer. The picture I had taken had one hair in front of my ear and it was rejected because the rule was to have nothing in front of the ear, even one little hair. I had to have my picture retaken and resubmitted because the ongoing totally ridiculous rules over three times and each time I had to resubmit it set me back over 2 months. It took me over 3 years to get citizenship.
