You see God atop the Mt. Everest of your problem but you are in - TopicsExpress

You see God atop the Mt. Everest of your problem but you are in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. You see where you need to be, but you’re too weak to make the climb. The resources at your disposal are not enough to accomplish the task. Like Israel, with the sea in front and an enemy behind, neither swimming nor fighting is an option. Like Paul, the blameless Pharisee, you’ve mastered the law and know the system like the back of your hand. But one glimpse of God and you’re easily convinced that ritual and liturgy are not enough to get the job done. We must have something more—something graciously given by God Himself—we must have faith. For “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6; NIV). “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. Its our handle on what we cant see” (Hebrews 11:1 (MSG). What we need, which faith provides, is God Himself. “Philip said, ‘Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need’ (John 14:8; CEV). Here Him echoing in the distance? My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9; NIV). Therefore, I will walk through this valley toward the heights and “fear no evil for You are with me” (Psalm 23:4).
