You see, way back in the beginning of time, God instructed Abraham to get out of his country, away from his kindred, and out from his father’s house. He was to go to a land that God would show him. In the book of Hebrews, Abraham was mentioned that he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went out, not knowing where he went, where he was going. By faith he journeyed in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: FOR he looked for a city which has “foundations”, whose builder and maker IS God. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, "Upon this ROCK I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Paul told the church at Ephesus to remember that in time past they were Gentiles in the flesh, called Uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made by hands. In times past they were without CHRIST, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, without God in the world. But now in CHRIST Jesus, those that were far off were brought near by the blood of CHRIST. For He is our peace, He has made both one, He broke down the middle wall of partition between us; He abolished in His flesh the enmity, the law of commandments contained in ordinances to make in himself of twain, “one” new man, so making peace; so that He might reconcile both circumcision and uncircumcision unto God in ONE body by the cross, having slain the enmity (the hostility, the hatred, the antagonism) thereby. So now they were no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. You see, Abraham left his father’s house, when we turn to Christ we leave our fathers house. Jesus said in John 8:42-44, "If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God: neither came I of myself, but He sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my WORD. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own for he is a liar, and the father of it.” Jesus said in John 5:24, 25, “…He that believeth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death into life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and NOW is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.” This does not mean the devil created us. Actually, I don’t believe the devil can create. He can distort or deceive but I don’t believe he can create. This earth was not created for the devil and his angels, it was created for us to have dominion over but that plan got messed up when Adam and Eve sinned. But this did not catch God off guard because God already had His original plan in play. Revelation 13:8 states, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb SLAIN FROM the FOUNDATION of the WORLD. Peter said we were not redeemed with corruptible things, I Peter 1:19, 20, “But with the precious blood of CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, but was manifest in these last times for you.” The second part of Revelation 17:8, states, “and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder whose names were not written in the book of life FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” He chose us in Him BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: according to Ephesians 1:4. Now just a little side note here. This does not mean we can live a sloppy Christian life. Because we are under grace does NOT give us a license to sin. Paul warned us when he stated in Rom. 6:1, 2, 15, 16, 20, 22, and 23, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God FORBID. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God FORBID. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey: whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. BUT now being made free from sin, and become servants of God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. FOR the wages of sin is death; BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” So we see that our Lord was slain FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, this was foreordained BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, our names were written FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, we were chosen IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. Jesus said in Matthew 25:34, “…Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the KINGDOM PREPARED FOR YOU FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD:” Paul said in I Cor. 2:7, 8, “But we speak the wisdom OF God in a mystery, even the HIDDEN wisdom, which God ordained BEFORE THE WORLD unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would NOT have crucified the Lord of glory.” Even though all this was done either FROM the foundation of the world or BEFORE the foundation of the world, we still have a responsibility. Our Lord said in Revelation chapter 3 verse number 5, through John to the church at Sardis, “He that OVERCOMETH, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, but will confess his name before my Father, and before His angels.” Now satan took dominion of this world when Adam and Eve originally sinned. That is why everyone since then is born of corruptible seed. But in the fullness of time, God sent His Son, Jesus the Christ, Son of the Living God, to redeem us back. He came to be partaker of flesh and blood that He through death would destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And to DELIVER them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Jesus took the keys, the authority back from the devil, having spoiled principalities and powers; He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Now He says in Rev. 1:17 b, 18, “Fear NOT; I am the FIRST and the LAST: I am HE that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen AND HAVE THE KEYS OF HELL AND DEATH.” That is why we must be born again, this time INTO the KINGDOM of GOD, of incorruptible seed, by the WORD of God. “ And without controversy GREAT is the MYSTERY of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles believed on in the world, received up into glory, I Tim. 3:16.” “The MYSTERY that has been “HID” from the ages and from generations but now is made manifest to His saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this MYSTERY among the Gentiles; WHICH IS “CHRIST” IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY” Col. 1:26,27.
