You should cold email the idles. Famous millionaires, public speakers, authors? Just do it. Be thoughtful, (know who you are emailing, do research!) offer to help or give value in some way, start a conversation by asking for specific advice, and before you know it, you can make an unsuspected connection and learn a lot! Ive met some authors Ive admired this way. Rather than thinking Oh- they are too popular, theyd never have time for little ole me, just write a thoughtful email, and before you overthink it, close your eyes and press send. Challenge this week: Make a list of three people that are highly influencial in your desired industry, and email them. If they dont respond, send a polite followup email. Youd be so surprised.:)
