You think this shit just happened to draftees too poor and unconnected to avoid being caught up in the meat grinder back in the day, you havent been paying attention. Pay a-effing-attention. Its still happening today but our governments have decided it can murder millions of CIVILIAN men, women and children - dislocate millions more (I mean add it up, folks, its a damned holocaust since those days). DO something. Some of us older folks who have been standing up and speaking out for 4 or 5 decades are getting old, tired and trying really hard not become jaded and cynical. I have lost too many close friends, one of who was a love of my life, to the Vietnam war and its disgusting aftermath as to veteran assistance. The militarys very definition now is NOT stalwart and true patriot citizen, standing up for the effin reason we fought the Brits in 76 and 12. Listen, folks the back door draft now sweeps up a motley crew of individuals and most of em are designated as expendable from the git go. Its a dire mess and Im not gonna give you the whole article here - muse is still spinning in my head- but I am gonna say to my friends here - the vets, the patriots who have been mistreated since Vietnam, for criminy sakes - that I am not immortal - the situation I have been caught up in is the most dire suppression of freedom of press I have ever seen. I need your help. If you cant find investors for our film, if you cant cut loose with one thin dime, you can, by God, talk to me because I am sinking and I will NOT go under in public. I will just disappear. I have been an admin of OccupyMARINES almost since its inception and I want to see the men who served my country because they were snookered, believed or what the hell ever, I want to see them snap to and get the word out. One of the core group of OccupyMARINES who was actually in Philly for the Occupy 1776 celebration got bailed out by me when he was hitching back to where he lived.
