You will never be able to compete with the streets. Sometimes - TopicsExpress

You will never be able to compete with the streets. Sometimes folks want to love the thing that doesnt love them back...and well, that my friends is what the streets offer - The illusion of freedom and the invisible shackles of slavery. Do not chase after those who constantly run from you. They will never stop running if you do. Halt in your steps and realize, the streets are already tracking them down. Screaming out their name come oh yea wounded one and let me wound you some more...and they go. And they search and they struggle and find exactly what it was that they were looking for...nothingness. The streets are quite possibly the very best mastermind in disguise. Offering everything, delivering absolutely nothing. Taking...always taking. Be the place that they fall into when they wake up and realize that theyre tired of begging to be wanted. Be the hands to wipe away the tears after the streets have slapped the hell out ofem. Be the deliverer of dinner after the streets have used nutrition as the dangling carrot for its sadistic desires. Be the warm blanket after the streets have stripped them naked and left them raped by its emotionally empty promises. Be the tender touch to aid in the healing after the streets fist have had their way in the deepest places. Be the love that the streets have never, can never and will never be capable of providing. Truth is...sometimes folks are addicted to the streets delivery blow of destruction, taking them to the edge of life, stripping their importance right out from under them, starving them to the edge and beating the life almost outta them....before they ever remember what life actually feels like. Lessons can never be forced...only learned. Chasing is forcing. Waiting at home with the tender touch, the dinner plate, the warm blanket and the unconditional love...is the only way to give more than what the streets can offer. This is a reality. (Dedicated to the millions of aching families, waiting on the hearts of their loved ones to remember what home is). #realtalkswitharedhead
