The band with an oddball name (supposedly nicknames of two college friends) had a Smash Hit from their debut album, which became one of the biggest songs of 1995, and unabashedly affirming old-fashioned love in the style of an old-fashioned Soul Shouter. Although the songs title echoes a hit from an earlier era, the1964 hit I Want To Hold Your Hand by The Beatles, 30 years earlier; it has more in common with Joe Cockers rendition of With A Little Help From My Friends.
