Your Destiny Moment: One of the secrets to discovering the fullness of the new life in Christ is in found 1 Thessalonians 5:18, revealing the outlook that we should maintain no matter what happens in our lives, good or bad. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. You must learn to give God thanks for EVERYTHING that happens in your life, even when things seem to be at their worst and your struggles are the greatest. While this undoubtedly is a very strange concept to our natural minds, let’s take a moment to consider the underlying truth. If you are in Christ, you are connected to the eternal God that has created all things, is the beginning and ending but yet He Himself has no beginning or end, the one who is all powerful, all-knowing and always present. Being able to stay in the place of gratitude and thanksgiving demonstrates that you are relying on God to take care of you, trusting His love and plan for your life. Nothing can happen to you without His knowledge. And as God’s child, anything that happens, whether He originally orchestrated it or not, is masterfully interwoven into His plan for your life. Romans 8:28 Amplified 28 We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. Having received Christ into your life assures that you have been called according to God’s design and purpose. Trust His plan for you, even when the road seems dark. God will not fail you and His love will always be there, especially when you need it the most. Remembering this should bring an attitude of thanksgiving, not necessarily for the matter at hand, but because God is with you.
