Your Elevation Today - Ephesians 6:14–17 Friday – BELT OF TRUTH BELT OF TRUTH: The truth about a thing can only be confirmed from the creator of that thing. Truth cannot be determined by popular consensus or individual preference. Truth can only be discovered when we hear from the originator of that thing. God is the author of life. Therefore only God can tell us the truth about life. Just as you need compass to discover true North, you need the word of God to discover the truth about life. This is why your bible is your compass for living! Dig Deeper: Ephesians 6:14 - 17; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Proverbs 11:9 Think about it 1. To what extent does the word of God influence your decisions and action? 2. How much of the truth do you know? 3. How many minutes do you spend meditating in God’s word on a daily basis? Pen and Paper: Friends, family, media, your education, cultural background and the Bible. Among these 6 sources of advices, which one do you consult most when you need to take an important decision or facing a dilemma? Speak to the Lord: Confess to God about areas where you have compromised His word. Tell Him about times you didn’t care about what the word of God has to say about your situation. Make a conscious decision to make His word the final authority in your life henceforth. Remember, this is key to victory in every battle of life.
