Your Future (2015) By: Josh Clevenger Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. As we leave another year behind we must prepare for a brand new year. 2014 might have been your best year or it might have been your worst. Whatever the case is in your situation today, we look ahead to see what the Lord might bring us in this brand new year full of unknown possibilities. How do we align ourselves in God’s will? Psalm 37:23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. God’s will for you is prosperity and peace. We see this principal in the Bible but the actual substance is oftentimes eluded. Your placement in your life may not seem where you want to be but your steps are ordered of God. This means even if we have strayed from the path of righteousness in our lives. The Lord saw your steps and has created a great plan for you. Being in God’s will is not about a physical move but an understanding that the Lord does have a plan for your life. It is an awareness of the Lord and opening up a line of communication to Him. If you will simply seek the Lord for your future in 2015, your New Year will be a lot more profitable to you and those around you. Are you in God’s will today? You are the only person that can answer that but you do know He has a great purpose for you in 2015. Understanding God’s intentions for you in 2015. Hebrews 4:4; 9-10 For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” … So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. I want you to have the best year possible, so we must first understand God’s intentions for us. He has nothing but good plans for our lives. We do not have to run from Him but simply rest in Him. Frustrations come to us all in life but if we understand the Lord’s intentions to us in this life. We will begin to see that even when we are carrying a heavy burden He wants to remove it from us. When we fee lost He wants to guide us and when we are tired He wants to restore us. Leading up to 2015 if you will reevaluate the intentions of the Lord towards you, and begin to see His plans for you beyond your struggle. You will see He has a great plan for your life and we do not have to run form Him in this New Year. I ran from the Lord for many years but when I let Him show me His path. I began to see He had great plans for me and I was running out of fear. His perfect love will cast out fear and His grace will show us His great intentions for us in this New Year. Do not fear God’s path for you today because He will lead you to great things. No mistakes Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. You may feel like you have made too many mistakes in this past year to succeed in the coming year. The Lord will turn every mistake we make and make it beautiful in His time. He will erase our mistakes and turn it into good. The Lord understands us better than we could ever understand ourselves. We give up on ourselves too easy in life. When we make a mistake we consider it a failure but in the Lord there is no mistake too great. Your past has power over you and this New Year is a new chapter ready to be written. Be bold and confident in the Lord for you today. He has a great plan for your life and He will turn your mistakes into stepping stones for great things. 2015 will be your best year yet because the Lord has a great plan for you. Rest in Him and begin planning for a successful year.
