Your Spirit shall Live! This is my prayer for us all today and always. May God enable us to set our minds on Auto Pilot for Him. For those who know a bit about aviation or flying aircrafts, there is that difference between the moment when the pilot physically controls the plane and that moment when he sets the plane on auto pilot and technology helps the plane to fly according to the programmed direction. When our entire being can attain that state of being locked to God, then we will have attained the state of auto pilot. At such moments, all control is handed over to God the Almighty and our physical control has no effect on our lives anylonger. Then we will begin to experience the true essence of God and the life He wants us to live, according to His planned destiny for us and His perfect will. This is when our bodies die for our spirits to live. We must enable our salvation must grow to wear out the activities of the flesh and ultimately enable the activities of the spirit. Great help will come from the study of the word of God and our fellowship a lot more, with believers of like nature. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17. There must be a desire within us for our flesh to die, so that our spirit may live. Because the flesh troubles the growth of the spirit. Because we were once in the world before being born again, our flesh had been accustomed to the ways of the world. Therefore we must make effort to let go of the desires of this flesh which wars against the desire of the spirit. Prayer will help us a lot to achieve this too. Just like in the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel in Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." God knows all things from the beginning to the end and therefore, our salvation is not by accident. So He will ever be there by our side to enable us in the areas where our strengths fail us, because he has promised us that: "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13. Therefore, let us commit our entire beings to autopilot and observe Galatians 5:16 " . . . Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." Then, our spirit shall live! May God be with us and help us all. Amen.
