Your deceptive infographic du jour. Aside from the history of the minimum wage, which was INTENDED to exclude those with lower skills, this is very misleading. The folks on the right they are talking about are the people who would be supposedly helped if the minimum wage was raised to $10.10/hr, so it includes all kinds of people currently making more than the federal minimum wage. The demographics of those at the federal minimum wage look VERY differnt from the group on the right and much more like the group on the left. IOW: who is currently *working at the federal minimum wage* is not the same as who is currently *earning between that wage and $10.10/hour* Of course all of this assumes that there will be no employment effects etc. and that all those working under $10.10 an hour will magically still have their same jobs when the wage goes up.
