Your steps are ordained. He who began a good work in you will - TopicsExpress

Your steps are ordained. He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6) When God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, (John3:16) He had a plan for him just like he has a plan for you and me. Jesus models this in Luke 2:49 when he says, did you not know that Im about my Fathers business? Jesus knew that the Father was guiding his steps and that his destiny was not his own. Jesus continued to abide in the Father and always emptied himself to see that the Fathers will was being completed and ultimately completing the mission in which God had preordained. God is doing this in our lives every moment of everyday with every calculated breathe. The more often we empty ourselves the more clear the Fathers will becomes to us. When Jesus said in John 19:30, It is finished, he is talking about the mission at hand, the Fathers will, the good work that would be carried unto completion. Jesus life is the modeled life that we ought to live by but weve got to make a choice. We cant serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). Jesus made that choice as well. He made a choice to humble himself, empty himself completely, put the interest of others before his own. We to need to make that choice daily, to choose to clothe ourselves with humility, to die to ourselves, put the interest of others before our own. The most prolific example is when the disciples were all wrapped up in themselves at the last supper amongst discussion and Jesus went ahead of them and began to wash there feet. Back when, that was a low service, but in this case the most profound. Jesus was setting the example of putting others before ourselves. Humility, is the root which stems into a trunk of unity and extends out into branches that give way to fruit. He is the vine, we are the branches. #ChristMinded #FullSurrender #FeetWashing #LoveUnites ~Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ~Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
