Yours sincerely heard with my amebo ear that the salaries of Benue Workers are to be reviewd downwards so as to enable the government meet its wage bill including that of our teachers in primary school who have not been able to work for up to five months at a stretch since the inception of this administration. I was meniacally bewildered (apologies to Hon. Patrick). How did we get to this point? In a state that is so blessed. Our agricultural potentials for wealth creation have been abandoned for the monthly oil money from the FG. The craze for oil money has made government so lazy and oil centered that our own Benue Investment and Property Company saw nothing else to invest in than to construct a petrol station. Look at where we are now. Agriculture is the only thing that can take Benue State to its true position of self reliance. Only investment in agriculture which will generate both income and employment for our unemployed youth can guarantee us a future. I rest my case.
