Youth Charged with Property Offences – Darwin Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged a 17-year-old male after he allegedly stole $6,500 worth of property across Darwin. Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said the offender allegedly stole a mountain bike valued at $2,500 from Smith Street in March and a mountain bike valued at $1,000 from an apartment block in Darwin City in April. “Police allege the offender also stole $3,000 worth of mobile phones from a store in Casuarina in March and clothing from a store in the Mitchell Centre on Wednesday. “The youth was arrested a short time later after exiting from the store in the Mitchell Centre.” He was charged with stealing (x3), possession of stolen property (x2) and unlawful entry. He will appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court today.
