Youth Empowerment Solutions is proud of our young men “Gentlemen of Quality.” Our trip to Washington D.C. was very successful, fun and safe. ABC 12 News met with us in D.C. and asked “how is it that an organization such as Y.E.S. can start an initiative Gentlemen of Quality in less than 2 months and accomplish such a major and impactful tasking for this many kids in such a short amount of time? My first response…”only God,” along with “LOVE.” We hear so much about people speaking about “working together,” “collaborating” with other organizations, etc. Truth of the matter is that all those who say this really don’t want to work together. They have different motives, agendas, etc. Too much time focusing on the wrong thing and not the MISSION. It’s a reason why God planted trees all over the world. At Y.E.S. – we focus on getting things done, less talk, more action! We are an organization that exemplifies what can happen when people “DO” work together. Everyone can’t work together, but what Y.E.S. does is work with individuals who God place in our path. It starts with positive, caring and supportive individuals in the community. It starts with our awesome parents and those who are involved in their children lives. It starts with our staff. Keeping God first, being a model and classy organization along with a caring heart for our youth. This is how and why we do what we do. And because of this is why we will be able to do so much more for our youth. #ONLYTHEBEGGINNING. God has greater in store for these young men!
