Youth having a sense of Entitlement I was listening to a topic - TopicsExpress

Youth having a sense of Entitlement I was listening to a topic on SAFM featuring the visionary and my friend Maresame June Mokoka about young people having the feeling of entitlement. The topic is crucial in my view especially in a period when many school leavers and graduates will be seeking job and business opportunities in this New Year. My take is that young people need an understanding of how to approach opportunities and use them to their advantage. There is something about having limited access to opportunities that psychologically pushes one to think outside the box, according to me that is. I say that we live in a dangerous era of abundance of opportunities that has the power of leaving one feeling blessed to have such opportunities while having a fatigue of choice in the same breath. The progressive move for me in the subject of youth advancement is more on identification and packaging. The issue is how do young people identify opportunities and have expertise to package them which will in turn have a a positive effect not only in terms of their financial positioning but also on their standing in society. We can no longer afford to be impressed by numbers but move towards a more quality approach. We need more programmes that will provide young people from the school level with an eye to spot and use opportunities effectively. One of the compulsory assignments for the participants of the #IAMABUZINESS workshop will be to start a community based project around their field of study. This is in line with the vision to help young people unlock opportunities and what better way than to start in their own communities with a fan base already in existance. #Epic2015 #CrazyAboutBranding#IAMABUZINESS #Fast4Success #MotivationalFinance101 gavinmkhabela.co.za Financial Planner I Motivational Speaker I Life Coach I Author I Social Blogger My Mission in Life is to Change Lives
