You’re dreaming so HARD of fur coat! It is hard for me to raise this theme, but I feel that I have to do that! Because mass information will NEVER tell you this! Fur industry is getting into every way of commercials; glamorous chics love to pose in gorgeous fur. But very few people actually know how these fur products are made. Fur farms are so profitable because of low outlays. Their aspiration to spend less affects even the way animals are killed: extremely violent animal killing methods are used, with main goal – not to harm the fur, while animal suffering has no meaning at all: they are killed with electrical current, drowned, poisoned or suffocated with gas. Main share of fur products which are sold on mass consumption markets as well as in elite fashion houses is made in China, besides, a lot of fur is actually cats’ and dogs’ fur, teared off alive. More than 2 million cats and dogs are killed for fur annually in Asian countries. Russia and USA are main consumers of these products. Chinese animal farms are a real hell for animals. Foxes, minks, raccoons live in small cages with metal mesh instead of the floor on the bottom, which cuts their paws. The air they breathe is toxic from their waste evaporation, while waste itself is collected under the cages. In the end of this hell only agonizing death awaits the animals. Annually hundreds of thousands animals are killed on Chinese animal farms. Before their fur is teared off, animals are stunned a little, then their paws are cut off, and then the fur is teared off, while animals are still conscious and feel everything; they cry from pain and after being skinned they suffer for 5-10 more minutes, and only then their suffering ends – they die. Foxes are being prepared for killing by passing electrical current through their rectum. One man pulls the fox from the cage with a metal loop, while another pulls the animal from behind, pulling its tail, which makes the fox roar and bite. Killers take advantage of this reaction and place metal bar into animal’s mouth. Then electrical wire is placed into fox’s rectum. Then electrical current passes fox’s body until the animal dies. This method is preferred on animals’ farms, because the fur gets fluffier and more attractive. Each year approximately 4,000,000 Karakul baby-lambs are killed during first 1-2 days of their lives in order to make fur coats and other clothes. The reason why Karakul lambs are killed so early is that tight fur curls begin to straighten three days after they are born. According to our sources, lambs are killed by slicing their throats while they are fully conscious. Mint, given to a woman, costs a lot. It costs thousands of [Rubles? Euro? Lats?], it costs thousands of cries, it costs tons of suffering and despair, kilometers of fur skinned with human hand. If each woman, while putting her fur coat on, could hear animals’ cry of pain and suffering, while it chews its stuck in a trap paw off, if she could hear joints crackling, when animal is caught by a hunter, if she could see the picture of lives of those animals who become disabled after being trapped… maybe there wouldn’t be a need to write this call: Don’t let coldness of indifference freeze your HEART!
