Hello Sharon, Here’s an update for you from the ‘Gosnell Movie’ team: 1 new Announcement: Dear great supporter, I wanted to update you on our research trip to Philadelphia. Traveling to Philadelphia with Andrew Klavan was so important. We met and conducted long interviews with cops, prosecutors, victims and jurors. It became very clear very fast that this story has heroes, tenacious, courageous people without whom justice would never have been done. Its because of great cops and great prosecutors that Gosnell is in prison today. It is only because of them we have all come to know about the very short tragic lives and violent deaths of children who would otherwise have literally been thrown out with the trash. We also visited the courtroom where Gosnell eventually heard the verdict and was taken away for the rest of his life. And we visited the clinic and walked around the neighborhood. It was hard to believe that evil had lived here hidden in plain sight. When we were there a passerby came up to us and said that place is evil, it should be destroyed. It is really chilling to stand outside that unremarkable building and know what horrors happened just inches away from where we were standing. But above all the trip to Philadelphia emphasized the sheer of number of people who did know that evil was being perpetrated in that clinic and they chose to do nothing. We have learned during our time in Philadelphia of so many people whose job it was to protect the public, who were paid well to do just that and who chose to do nothing and allowed the horrors to continue for years and years. Gosnell only got to murder thousands of babies because so many people who knew did nothing. Reading Bonhoeffer talking of another holocaust of the innocents seems an apt quote for what happened.
