Yup. Bout right. Think. How can a Federally licensed gun dealer, required by Federal law to run background checks on every sale, sell guns to people who cant pass a background check (those people being the criminals who commit crimes with guns)? They cant. This aint rocket science, people. Also, when those same gun dealers set up a booth at a gun show, they have to run the exact same background checks on every sale made there. Its the law. So, too bad for Mr. or Ms. Violent Criminal, they cant buy their guns from a licensed dealer at a gun show either. Yes, they can buy from individuals who arent dealers in private sales, but the statistics show that private gun show purchases are a microscopic fraction of where criminals get their guns. Most are stolen during an act of crime or purchased from other lawbreakers. See a pattern here? Lawful gun sellers arent the source of guns used in crime. Lawfully owned guns arent used in crimes. Lawful gun owners arent criminals. This is so simple. So who will more gun laws impact? Not the criminals, they already disregard laws - thats why theyre criminals. More gun laws will only impact those who obey such laws - legal gun owners and sellers. The result is that more laws make it more difficult for lawful citizens _remember, these are the people NOT hurting anyone else with their guns - to purchase and own guns legally. If you read comments from anti-gun types below online news articles and opinion pieces youll see a couple of troublesome traits. First, a gross lack of accurate information on the subject of gun ownership, combined with an abundance of inaccurate anti-gun information gleaned from sources like Moms Demand Action and Everytown - both of which regularly ignore the truth in favor of spewing scary statistics from disproved research (usually funded by anti-gun groups to get results they want). Next, an assumption that sane, rational, level-headed, law abiding people like you cant be trusted with a gun, because if you want to own a gun you MUST be mentally unstable in some way and will at some point crack and start shooting innocent children in a school somewhere. Now, I know you are having trouble understanding how someone could possibly think this way. Thats because normal, rational, level-headed people dont think this way. We cant imagine such a thing happening because it never does. In the real world, sane people dont just go nuts out of the blue. But, the anti-gun leftists, as youll also learn from reading their comments to online news stories and opinion pieces, DO think this way and DO express their views in crude language and violent terms quite frequently - even making death threats in their raving comments, and may very well snap and hurt others. Scary, isnt it? These people drive cars. They vote. They demand respect for their views, even though those views are quite strange. How they see the world around them isnt normal. And, rather than point out their error and setting them on the right path, weve bowed to political correctness and given them a voice. Its time everyone realizes that weve let the whiners and malcontents have too much attention and acceptance, and now theyre running things.
