While I want to congratulate everybody that competed today at the American Royal Invitational. I want to give special mention to my friend (who I helped cook) David Stidham of A Fine Swine BBQ. This is only Davids second year in competition BBQ, yet he managed to pull off a very respectable 174.85 in ribs for 18th place, and a 175.41 in chicken for 17th place. And although the brisket and pork did not fare as well, he still managed a very respectable 80th place out of 167 teams. Hold you head high David, there are more than 87 teams that wish they had done as well as you. You will be back next year, Im sure. Oh, and BTW, if you ar feeling a little bruised, just take a look at who all you beat. ;-)
