Its unfortunate that David Perdue feels this way. He WAS my second choice to Karen Handel. He had already previously raised my eyebrows with past comments against campus carry and now this kind of elitist smug comment? One of Davids big themes for his campaign has been to distinguish himself from the other candidates by claiming not to be a politician or a Washington insider. This little bigoted snub stinks highly of a forked tongue politician. Karen Handel is by FAR the best candidate for this position and our best chance as conservatives to beat Michelle Nunn and retain this seat that one of the RINOs is leaving. Karen Handel has made herself personally available to me for ANY questions that Ive ever asked her whether it be on Facebook, in person or however. I have asked her some very pointed questions and she has never hesitated in answering any of them and is very personable. Im certainly no rich and/or powerful elitist and she STILL makes time to speak with me, a potential constituent. Im no super donor either, that some other candidates may show special interest in. I have donated to her campaign because I believe what she says and share the base common sense conservatism that she believes in, but it certainly wasnt thousands of dollars. I personally find it appealing that Karen is a high school graduate and has STILL accomplished what she has and provided a positive service to Georgia in doing so. If you were to meet Karen in person, she comes across as a common everyday woman, yet you can sense her patriotism and dedication to the people. Karen Handel has certainly got my vote and any donations I can muster to help her help US move in a forward direction to better our state and our country.
