ZAMBIA CAPTAIN CHAMA BELIEVE THEIR TEAM READY FOR THE ZEBRAS COSAFA Cup winning captain Bronson Chama says the team is in good spirit ahead of the African Nations Chapmpionship (CHAN) qualifier against Botswana on Saturday. Chama said that he expected a tough match in Molepole but maintained that the team was fully focused for the task. “At the moment the team is in good spirits and the attitude is right. We know that the match in Botswana will be tough because every team wants to beat the best, especially because we recently won the COSAFA Cup. “Although the team is new, we have a great chance to show how good we are by doing well in the CHAN competition. Winning the COSAFA Cup is good motivation for us to do well in future matches but it is up to the technical bench to decide if they want to maintain the COSAFA squad for the CHAN,” Chama said Chama added that he was ready to challenge for a place in the Chipolopolo senior squad owing to his good performance at the COSAFA Cup 2013. Chama played alongside Christopher Munthali in all three matches played by Zambia at the tournament and together the pair conceded a single goal in regulation time. Chama scored the winning penalty against South Africa after the match finished goalless after extra time at the semi-final stage. And coach Renard revealed that he will announce the final list of 20 players to travel to Botswana at mid-day on Thursday. The team flies out of Lusaka on Friday. The first leg will be played at Molepole Sports Complex Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 15:00hrs while the return leg will be played at Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola a week later.
