Zach Strief,good blocking right tackle and free safety Jairus Byrd, are two our Redskins could use in my humble opinion. I am sure Bruce Allen also has his eye on these two come Tuesday,when Free Agency officially begins. Another safety free agent that is good is T.J. Ward or maybe Jay Gruden will be able to get cornerback Alterraun VernerAlterraun from the Bengals,where he was offensive coordinator before becoming the Redskins headcoach. We all saw Eric Decker of Denver bloom last season,and I dont believe Payton Manning will want him to leave Denver and Manning pulls alot of weight in decision making for the offense in Denver. But,if Eric Decker is a Free Agent,I can see his value to our Redskins as an over the middle,mid range,chain moving asset. Still need some depth and talent at corner and safety,and Vontae Davis of the Lions may be available. Captain Munnerlyn is a team guy,hard hitting defensive back and always around the ball, Under the radar,not a famous name,but I think he is pretty good,has speed and discipline,hits hard legally. A good part of why the KS Chiefs made the playoffs and came close to advancing to the AFC Title game. Aqib Talib, Alterraun Verner,and Charles Tillman are three defensive backs I hope we can get, T.J. Ward is both a run stopper and a good pass defender,and will probably be available. Chris Clemons is a defensive back who is starting to bloom and may be worth coaching to the next level. All the top defensive backs have had to learn the rules favor the offense and they know it takes TWICE as much energy to play defense as it does offense. They all got burned deep and all gambled and lost and also gambled and picked off some passes also. Also need to get a bigger OLINE, Jon Asamoah is on the market. So lets summarize, I predict Bruce Allen and Jay Gruden will be active next Tuesday,officially, and try to get us some Free Agent help from these players. Jon Asamoah,Zach Strief,and other good oline players that are Free Agents. I believe Gruden wants a line 80 pounds heavier per man that our oline last season. Power run vs Zone Blocking.. On Defense,we need help and depth at corner and safety,Free and Strong Safety. Aqib Talib, Alterraun Verner, Charles Tillman,Captain Munnerlyn,Jairus Byrd,Alterraun Verner, and T.J.Ward would definitely help our defense and bring a get turnovers attitude to our defense. Frankly,I want a defense who intimidates and hits hard like Sean Taylor and Wilbur Marshall and old school Kenny Houston. Tillman of the Bears is that kind of player. Lets keep in mind that we have the smartest and most experienced GM in the NFL and he has Redskins roots from his father, and hates Dallas,LOL Watch Bruce Allen make a BIG SPLASH in Free Agency. Make book on it.
