Zachs open heart surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30 at Devos. This date came way sooner than Nick and I expected as we JUST met the cardio surgeon on Thursday. We knew it was going to happen but figured we would be a month or so before it actually happened. We have been processing a lot this weekend and trying to hold strong for the other 2 boys but its been exhausting. We have confidence in our surgeon, but it makes it difficult since they only see his type of ASD a few times a year. They will have to break his breastbone and he will need to go on the bypass machine for the procedure. The goal is to have him off the ventilator within 48hrs after surgery. Any prayers, prayer chains, thoughts or just anything at this point for zachary is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
