Zane. I am a 23 year old mother of two. I have been separated from my abusive husband for 2 years and we have a divorce pending but he wont sign. He has ran off with one of our kids and I havent seen him in 2 years also. Every time he decides to let me see my child its always with extra bs. Today he called me and told me he was in town (cause he moved to hide from me) and asked to see my other son. I said ok I will meet him some where because this man has done really evil things to me and I dont trust him. I refuse to tell him where I live. Am I being too harsh with him? MY RESPONSE: I would not take the child to meet up with him because what is to keep him from snatching that child as well. If he wants to see the child, tell him to go to court and get visitation set up and also it will give you the opportunity to do the same. In fact, I am not sure how this divorce is being handled but you need to petition the court for at least joint custody of the child that he has, if not full custody. The fact that he finds it cool to keep you from the child may be reason enough for the court to file in your favor. I have a bad feeling about you meeting up with him, though. Please do not do it.
