Zebras Friendly Uganda have secured a friendly international against Botswana in Gaborone as preparations for next month’s World Cup qualification gather pace. The Cranes face the Zebras on August 31 en route to Istanbul, where they will camp until their World Cup qualifying decider against Senegal to be played in Morocco on September 7. Micho believes the arrangement is perfect preparation for Senegal, who Uganda have never beaten. “Senegal have a slight advantage over us because they have consistently played games together,” Micho told supersport in Kampala on Saturday. “Gaborone and Istanbul will help us bridge the gap as we try to be in the best shape possible.” The Cranes must defeat the Lions of Teranga two weeks from now if they are to make the final round of the 2014 World Cup qualification.
