Zero tolerance? More like zero common sense. A 9-year-old boy was suspended “indefinitely” from a Michigan school because the school claims he was pretending a toy he brought to school was a gun, even though the toy was a spinning top launcher and looks nothing like a gun. School officials then called Gage’s mom and told her he was saying “bang, bang” with the toy and threatening other kids. According to Gage’s parents, though, the boy denies saying “bang, bang” and not only that but none of the other kids in Gage’s class supported the school administrators’ story.
