Hey to all my knitting/crocheting pals! Heres the deal. Were seen the ice bucket challenge for ALS. Im issuing the Knotty or Nice challenge! Heres how it works: 1) Officially starting October 1st, you start knitting/crocheting any kind of warmwear (i.e. toboggans, mittens, scarves, ear muffs) and/or blankets that can be donated to a local charity of your choice. 2) You have until November 30th to make as much as you can. 3) Take all the items that you made to the donation drop-off for your charity (or charities)! 4) Post pics periodically of your progress. Well use the hashtag #knottyornice to tag these posts! Dont forget to tell us who youre donating to! 5) Challenge your friends! For those who arent knitting/crocheting inclined, if you want to get involved, you have a few choices. -Sponsor a knitter. Help supply a friend with yarn or notions. -Donate money to a local charity. Doesnt matter how much. The point is to donate! -Find a friend who knits/crochets and get them to teach you! Its fun and a great way to reduce stress! To all of you, share this status and keep it going! Lets get the word out! Some ideas for local charities: -homeless shelters -local cancer centers/hospitals -churches -community outreach There are so many more out there.
