Zilzal, Weeble and Blossom! Zilzal gets a chance to behave every day, but is usually too obnoxious with Blossom to stay with the others, so we have to find him a bigger friend. Although Zilzal wasnt a planned foal, it has been very interesting having him as a comparison to our rescue foals. Can you believe that he is only a month (possibly less) older than Weeble? Considering that his mum was on a diet for almost her entire pregnancy (because we didnt know she was pregnant), it makes you wonder how Weebles mum lived during her pregnancy. We often speak about how small the Egyptian horses are, but after seeing the vast size difference in these two, I have wondered about how many of the small horses are a result of genetics, and how many are a result of malnutrition. PS. Zilzal is being wormed regularly, but rubbed his tail because of a tick :)
