Wells herself claimed to have believed this ideology at one time, before her extensive research revealed the cry of rape to be largely myth” (pp.129-30)._ Tell me more about how womens fear of the streets isnt hegemonically code for men of color are gonna rape the womenfolk if said womenfolk stray too much from the nice white spaces (which, for some reason, do not include [the streets]).
