___Right in the middle of the British Invasion when the Beatles and Stones were controlling the music industry, a bunch of white kids and several Hispanics from the West Side of San Antonio let their hair grow long. got some spiffy Mod garbs and adopted the name of their lead singer Doug Sahm and renamed their band the Sir Douglas Quintet.
