a FB friend of mine mentioned Sandi Patty in a recent post. which reminded me of this short story: some gay friends of our family were producing a show at a local gay bar for female impersonators and to elect the new King and Queen of the Court. they invited us to attend. one of the of impersonators (who was gorgeous and also won the competition) lip-synched to Sandi Pattys How Great Thou Art. id never heard of her before. well, he/she was really spot on, but the music gave me massive goosebumps, so i found out who she was and went and bought the CD Hymns for You the next day. (i am NOT religious by ANY stretch...) just when you think she cant possibly go any higher.....sheesh. sometimes, ill play that CD on a Sunday morning, and turn the volume up to 11 so the whole neighborhood can hear her! hear for yourself, whether youre Chritian, Buddhist, Muslim, atheist.... youtube/watch?v=o8BumYH8n1k
