a little late, but with a lot of love! :-) happy fathers day! my close friends know that my daddy is one of my bffs, so i dont really have to go into great detail on how totally awesommmmme he is. i mean- how many folks actually claim their dads as a bff? lol. however, i would like to take a moment to send love to all the amazing men out there! i have a tremendous amount of love, respect and compassion (yes compassion- cause it aint always easy) for all the dads/uncles/brothers/cousins/stepdads/play uncles/etc. that have given the best of themselves so we can be best of ourselves. here are a few things ive learned from the men that have loved me into and thru my womanhood... how to jump with faith + courage, stand my ground, earning vs. demanding respect (if youve earned it you really shouldnt have to demand it too often), the difference between compromising vs. compromising, you can love someone and not be with them, when you fail- man up, women are beautiful and should be treated with great love and care, how to check my oil, some sports stuff (actually, i cant count that because i forgot most of it), how to fight dirty and fair, cash flow is everything in business, there will never be a perfect time, dont over-think it, everyone aint for you- but dont change who you are because of who they are, a man should not speak words of harm into your life, you are responsible for you, keep god first, do good, be better and how to make a perfect margarita. yeah.. i love the men in my life! and the very best part? when i forget one of their lessons (the list is like gibbs rules on ncis..lol), they are super duper quick to check a chica. #lovemydaddy #lovemybrother #lovemyuncles #happyfathersday #blackmenrock #dadsrock #realmenrock #amazinglyblessedandhighlyfavored
