a little thing about memory I Ain’t Scared of No Stinkin’ Memories Should we leave our memories in the past to ensure those sweet recallings last? Will an attempt to ignite old memory’s spark make memory’s light in our heart turn dark? Will we find if we try to draw memory near that the remembered, now, might become less dear? Should we leave youth’s memory to our youth and not claim it now for fear it lacked truth? Do we not test the joy of our memories’ song for fear that our memories may be a bit wrong ? As for me, my memories speak no lies and I will look without fear in memory’s eyes. If reclaiming a memory has too dear a price I’ll re-bid it farewell and remember it twice. In my life of making memories, my sole intent was leaving shrines to love where my heart was spent. So I’ll not leave the past behind as I travel for I know that my memories will not unravel. All the love I have made, I made for good reason and I made it for life, not a day or a season.
