a superior day for ILYS yesterday....after a particularly stressful couple of hours i found myself on the platform for the local subway, running late, of course.....and what should i see? nothing short of style greatness. a gentleman dressed in a maroon & blue plaid shirt, white tie, white local baseball team logo hat - logo also in plaid, skateboard!, jeans & matching sneakers. i admit i followed this man on the train & sat near him so i could slip him a card. (i need to reorder stickers & buttons, dammit). we made eye contact & he said very respectfully "i just have to say you look ravishing". i blushed, of course & said thank you...i have been admiring your style as well & handed him a card. this was when i noticed the oversized diamond studs & the full on metal grille. now! i will admit the grille is not my favorite style choice, but this dude was working it! just then, another gentleman gets on in grey no- lace converse, grey slacks, grey blazer & gigantic skateboard. like a surfing longboard, but a skateboard. plaid shirt dude fist bumps him, we get off the train at the same stop...i give grey converse a card & plaid shirt gives me his full on silver smile & says "you really made my day". it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! bridging the gap one card at a time.
