a volunteer writes: ***LOVE-STARVED INJURED BUT HEALING BOY LOVES PETTING & AFFECTION, CLIMBS ONTO LAPS - PLEASE GRANT DEXTER A DEATH ROW PARDON!!!*** Handsome brown & black tabby boy DEXTER, just 4 years old, came into the high-kill ACC as a NEUTERED stray boy with a laceration on his right flank that required stitches. A volunteer writes: Dexter came to us with a wound on his side that required stitches. Luckily, hes healing and no longer needs to wear the cone of shame. As far as personality goes, Dexter is all heart and bonds easily with people. He loves being close to people; in fact, when I crouched down to pet him, despite his injury, he climbed onto my lap without a moments hesitation. Even the ACC agrees: Dexter greatly appreciates being petted along the body, turning sideways for attention and rubbing his cheeks on the litterbox while the assessor strokes his side. Dexter comes to the front of the kennel, still interested in interacting, after the assessor closes the cage door. Placement determination: Experience Dexter is friendly, social, and interested in human interaction despite his injury.
